Ingredients

  • 1 cup Carrots; minced
  • 1 cup
  • 1 cup
  • 2 tablespoons Beef base -or-
  • 4 Beef bouillon cubes
  • 2 tablespoons Chicken base -or-
  • 4 Chicken bouillon cubes
  • 6 1/2 ounce Pearl barley
  • 3 quarts Water
  • 1/2 pound Ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • Salt and pepper
