Vintner’s Turkey Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 cup
  • 1 1/4 cups Onions; chopped
  • 2 Cloves garlic; minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Olive oil
  • 30 ounce Kidney beans; undrained
  • 28 ounce Crushed tomatoes
  • 3 cups Turkey light meat, skinless; cooked and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

  • In a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat cook bell peppers, onions, garlic in oil until tender.
  • Add beans, tomatoes, water, turkey, chili powder, cilantro, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  • Increase heat to high and bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer mixture, uncovered for 25 minutes.
